Why a pet is the best partner you can wish for

Here I am in my so called "garden" with Drogo, the one who changed my life. I am not talking about the stallion of Game Thrones (even though I wish), but a rabbit.
Drogo was my birthday present that my 2 besties from Krakow gave me 3 months ago for my 25th year of life and I am very glad about it.
When I moved to my new home in July this year with my Sevillian buddy, I planned to get a pet. Choices were rather a chameleon, a rabbit or a cat.
"Now I am an adult and I can take responsibility for a life" I thought within myself, even though my flatmate suggested that I should have started with a plant first. "If you can keep the plant alive" he said, "You are ready to get an animal", which it kind of made sense as I never thought about "someone" else rather than myself.
But my 2 friends cut the gradual process and just show up at my birthday party with a box!
It was love from the first moment I picked him up: a soft, hairy, ginger fella with huge black eyes and long mustaches (didn't need to be worried about hiding mine anymore!).
Eventually the reality hit me the next morning when, super hangover, I woke up cover in rabbit shit all over my legs and bed. Yes, coz my friends were so sweet to get me a rabbit but they forgot about the cage, so Drogo has been jumping/pooping/eating everywhere in my room. I know it sounds gross, but there are no parents who know how to treat their baby when arrives and the experience come with the time. Right?
So after 2 days of cleaning my floor from poop, I finally had the brilliant idea of buying a super cool cage and things went better since than....
Ok so why is actually better to have a pet as a partner?
First I just have something soft to cuddle anytime I want and, when I am not in the mood, I can just lock him in the cage and forget about him (kidding).
After work, I can't wait to go home to him. It is such a great feeling to know that someone is waiting for you in the room , probably just to get fed, but still it helps with low esteem moments when you do not have better options.
He just doesn't talk back, which is a VERY IMPORTANT aspect.
After many many bites on my hands, I feel such a proud mama when I touch him right on his cheeks without bleeding. That took several slaps but this is the Italian way to educate children, you know.
I have a new dream in life: get him a bath without him getting an heart attack.
After cleaning a lot of poop, I will be the master of nappies once I'll be a real mother.
I never cleaned my room as often as now (a must if I don't wanna suffocate in hair or pee fragrance).
I can blame someone else for so many hair around which for once are not mine.
He is fat, eats, sleeps and stares at the wall for hours, which makes me feel better about myself.
He is a great way to socialize when I take him out.
He hates my flatmate as much as I do (he hides every time he's around).
He is a great excuse when I just want to stay home without seeing people who actually TALK...
So yeah, these are few example to help you understand that pets are great friends and life companions!
Tired of your boyfriend/girlfriend or of your children? LEAVE THEM AND GET AN ANIMAL :D
