Now that I am leaving Poland, I can finally say what I truly think

My time in Poland is coming to an end, and I am not sure how to feel about it.
I arrived in Krakow the 8th of June 2015, scared to be kidnapped, killed, cut into pieces and deprived of my organs to be sold to the black market.
But actually here I am, alive and with a shitty knowledge of Polish language and a liver in worse conditions.
A job offer made me arrive here, coz otherwise I would have never thought of visiting such a country.
People usually think of Poland as a 3rd World country, where its inhabitants have vodka 4 breakfast and the landscapes are the ones of "La Vita e' Bella".
Krakow is a beautiful city, full of architecture and history;in the summer is so warm that at some point I thought I never left Sardinia and, best thing, it is so affordable.
The nightlife is also great. The city centre is stuffed with bars and clubs where you can have shots of Vodka with 100000 different flavours for 1-2 euros.
The only hard thing to find here is good music, as Disco Polo (polish music from the 90's) is the most beloved and popular in here.
Despite what many people may think, Krakow is a very multicultural city with students from many different countries and plenty of international job positions.
The only defects is that many people do not speak english (just like in Italy anyway), and they look at you with a "communist face" as soon as you try to talk to them in something which is not Polish. Never mind.
I do not know much about polish diplomacy, bureaucracy or law but from the little I saw, the general mentality does not look very open yet.
I just experienced with my eyes low tolerance towards foreigners (police in first place) and rights differences between people depending on sympathy rather than credit.
It is funny anyway to see how different people and costumes are in different countries...
What surprised me the most is the "attitude" (and the struggle in matching colours) of polish girls: many of them are so beautiful (no wonder why so many italian boys
are here), but they are too in rush to get married and have families. Here marriage is a big thing and if you are not married yet at 30, you are screwed apparently.
I could compare girls here to characters like Medusa or the tempting witch in Snow-White with the succulent apple: beautiful creatures who trap and enchant men to be in love and faithful for ever .
...Can I have the magic recipe too? I have been trying for so long!
At the end of the day I am happy here. I met many wonderful people and the life is much easier if compared to other countries.
If I will leave, things which will be missed the most will be Pierogi and my beers with raspberry juice.
So for those who have never been in Poland: GO! Sexy chicks and cheap alchool! All you need!
